MY NEON Sign
As you noticed it was all about the NEON to me for this exhibition and OF COURSE I had to do a neon sign XD I couldn't resist if I had to go neon all the way :P
My Loving fiance actually helped a lot ( negotiating with the neon guy and keep going back and forth to make sure he's doing the right thing )
and here's some photos :D :D MY VERY OWN NEON SIGN

The pattern's theory (MY senior project ..)
I wanted my senior Project to be something related to my identity ( the geometric patterns ,and the neon color )
And " The pattern's theory " is a theory I made about how patterns always amazed me in many aspects :
"their unity , embraces each others differences , and how everything around us is made out of patters we just need to break them down to see it "
so interrupted this very debatable theory into interactive design explaining each part of the theory ...

Basically , its a huge box or as I call it a huge frame with a wheel on the side where you can roll into the next slide ...
Its 190 cm hight and more than 80 cm width (yup as I said HUGE )
here is some other shots of the box before talk about the process ..
At first I knew that I wanted to do something different with the patterns , I knew I wanted them to move or flip ... I got the idea while I was half asleep and the sleep got deeper I kept on reminding my self please don't forget it when you wake up !!!
the minute I woke up I rushed into the first paper I saw and started to sketch , but had no clue how to make it work ... I asked every interior designer I saw how is this even possible !
my sister got me the idea of the to rollers inside the box that makes the paper actually move with the wheels .
Then I went to this amazing egyptian carpenter , and started to explain my idea at first he wanted to kill me because he kept on asking to give him photos of this thing I imagined half asleep LOL
Finally, he did an amazing job but the problem wasn't only HIM ..
It was HOw on earth I would print more than 6 meters paper with NEON colors !! I had enough troubles with the business cards :S ...
SOOO the perfect solution is to have some neon sticker and stick each triangle and circle on the already digital printed one just to add the neon effect ..
YES IT WAS HELL :P some photos I snapped while I was sticking them ..

NEON business cards
THE NEON SEMESTER …
It has been so long since I posted anything , and that due to my graduation semester and you guys know how seniors get stressed and all …
So through the photos I'm going to sum up from the brainstorming through my identity till final day " EXHIBITION DAYS"
The logo : wanted something my name in arabic yet... abstracted, But the most important part was the identity its self something would reflect me as a designer and yet still can be distinguished between others .
So, neon vs. natural colors was IT for me and the geometric patterns complemented my logo, then added this element where you can actually pop the card into a 3D box ....
FOR the business cards to print on neon and make them to turn it to little packages was the Obstacle , but I used as much pantone colors as I can even if I had to have a fight with the printer house :P

my news letter أبعادها ... في إختياراتها
we were asked to do a news letter for a project talking about the women in the saudi society, and to do it less informative than any news letter we saw before and more artistic and designed.
I really enjoyed my self working in this project and experimenting with the paper "newspaper's paper "
and size of this news letter "A3" made it fun and one of my favorite projects.
Even though the trip of finding the paper was a hassle but thanks to my cousin "the super hero of the class" that day any ways:P he pulled it and brought it from some paper's factory in jeddah and it was the best .
back to my news letter basically it talks about the women dimensions and her choices through out her life style and achievements.

مُجابِرات ... (طق حنِك )وماشابه
مُجابِرات .. means conversations in the yemeni accent , and from that you will know what my book is about .
It's all about conversations happening between bunch of yemeni women and their saudi friend
" om fisal " explaining to her the yemeni culture from food, politics, accent, songs and traditions.
For me it was so interesting to write and illustrate this book, because I gathered all my thoughts and experiences into it..
