LABELED closet ?

we had to do a project about our closet and I picked my Haute Couture part of it (if i can actually say that ), cuase for me each dress I buy its for specific occasion ,so when I wear the dress more than once it sticks in my head with the name of the occasion I bought it for . EXAMPLE, what are u gonna wear today ? (I don't describe the dress ) I say : mona's wedding dress .

And the more I wear the same dress the more labels it gets, I did my closet in information design wise for the past five years starting from 2007-2011.

so,heres some sketches of my dresses..

and here's the final design of my labeled closet
it was an A2 poster so this some closer shots ..

I guess its time for a new dress !!

hotshoe..

hotshoe is our photography club in college which contains 20 members, the name came as an inside joke between us  the photographers ,cause hot shoe is the attachment that connects from the camera to the flash in studio photography ( and it symbolizes what we are aiming for to connect art with photography and bring it to the world ), but for everyone its just a hot shoe and we don't mind that what's better than combining professionalism with style right !!
So, one of our projects we did is selling post cards at benefit of arabia(charity art auction)it was the perfect opportunity to put our name in the art world and actually participate in a good social event , so we had A3 photos and post cards but our post cards got big success, they were sold out in two days and we got good offers after it ,and soon will be selling them in bridges inshalla..
here's some photos of hotshoe in the event

البومه المحترفه ...

Currently , I'm  an intern at almohtaraf design house and through my curiosity trip around the offices I found a room with a sign written on it (THIS IS A DISASTER AREA) obviously i entered immediately and i found an old man smoking his  cigarettes  and listening to um kalthom sitting in his office around him all kind of statutes and sketches   AND pottery wheel i asked if i can use it ,so he gave me the pottery clay and he said play with it first. And when I started suddenly i got an interesting figure ... it was an OWL with a help of my friend sara mahanna
so here's some pix of it ..

PRINT MAKING !!

print making is a course in college we took, for me it was love at a first sight and I wanted to do so much but it wasn't as easy as it seemed, after practicing it, it got to be my relaxation mood where I listen to my music and just go with the flow with my  blade #3
this is the carved lino ..

and this is the print ..
and the final we had to do anything we want but print it in a creative way , for me i picked a photo for my great grandfather al Imam Yahya hamidaddin he ruled yemen from 1869—1948. And because of that it meant so much to me and it had a historical impact,so I printed it on a clay to represent history, and culture .

Classic Movie Icons all in the 60's...

few days ago i had the classic movies phase and i started to search to find the perfect movie that fits my mood and i found an interesting title that captured my eyes and when i saw the poster of the movie it was IT for me , i started to watch it immediately .
the movie was arabic and called "النظاره السوداء " for the most iconic star nadya lutfi "ناديه لطفي "
and when i started watch it i started to find common senses in the movie and the  Audrey Hepburn's most famous movie  Breakfast at Tiffany's . both of them take events at the 60's (breakfast at Tiffany's in 1961) ,(النظاره السوداء 1963) where both of the movies talked about a girl was drown by her festive and sophisticated lifestyle that confuses the new man she meets and he tries to help her to find her self ..
what dragged me to both of the movies is the fashion sense (black shades, pearls and all the amazing dresses every girl wishes to have them )
ill leave you with some of the photos from the movies and you judge ..

I just wish that the arabic movie industry to get back to its golden age ,just look at the poster and you'll know what i mean ...
